English Afternoon Tea @ Fir Tree House Tea Rooms

Specialised in the very English tradition of Afternoon Tea, this fine Tudor tea room bakes a variety of cakes, scones and tea breads every day. Fir Tree House, built in the Kentish style, retains many original features built in the 16th century. To name a few, the inglenook fireplace, the wide oak floorboards etc. They offer a good range of quality teas and coffees, to be enjoyed with the finest tea set made with only the freshest ingredients.

Healthy Sandwiches and Wraps @ Pret A Manger

My most enjoyable moment in London was eating sandwiches in the sandwich bar. The grab-n-go concept is so typically English and I love to join the queue while waiting for my turn to pay for the sandwich of my choice. The shelves in Pret A Manger display a huge variety of sandwiches. I was practically spoiled for choice and took more than usual time to select my preference.
